It seems now that the Penguins are finding their defensive game in the wake of injuries to both Malkin and Crosby.  Both of which are day-to-day, but not sure of when they will return.  Yesterday's 1-0 win over the Islanders, which followed a 3-2 win over Carolina are both indications that this is not the 2009-2010 Penguins who had to score to win.  Michalek and Martin are finding their game, Letang is a beast, and Marc-Andre Fleury has recovered beautifully from a terrible start.  In sum, the Pens may be more suited for a cup run than ever.  The question remains is; Are the Pens (Shero) happy with their team, or do they feel a change is needed.  With limited cap space, I would not want to be GM.  

Superbowl Pick: Steelers 31 Packers 27

Although I want the packers to win, I just don't see it.  Steelers are big game players, and lets be honest Green Bay did not look like world beaters against the Bears.

After a game 1 disaster; Marc Andre Fleury seems to have found homself with back to back 1 goal games!  Thank goodness.  He's moving quick; he's in position; its great!

First off congrats to Butler who beat K-State nicely with awesoem D and clutch shooting.

Secondly a viewpoint of WVU victory over Kentucky. 

I thought I was in the twilight zone; no 2pt field goals in the first half for WVU and they were up.  Then they continued to play well through the 2nd half and won over teh Wildcats.  What a game.  Kentucky is a better team, but made harldy any 3-pointers and were lax on D.  Man, this is way more exciting than the paint-dry-esk tourny from last year.  See what tomorrow brings.

• Pens lost to the Caps last night in a shootout and are in serious danger of finsihing 4th or 5th in the Eastern Conference.  Only 1 point up on New Jersey, (New Jersey has 2 games in hand) the Pens need a big finish to grab the Atlantic and finish 2nd in the Conference.

• Rams won't grab Mcnabb.  Both GM and Coach say rumors are false, I cannot see it; Rams should draft Bradford, develop him and have him for a while.  Mcnabb is past his prime and sticking him with a very young Rams team would be a mistake.  They shouldnt get Vick either.  He is WAY past his prime.

• 3rd round (sweet sixteen) is back tonight!  Go Butler.

• Rule changes in NHL (hits to the head), NFL (Overtime) are good for both games!
