Lewis Hamilton deems Adrian Newey ‘at the top’ of the list of people he wants to work with in F1

The 2024 Miami Grand Prix weekend is well underway with Thursday’s events out of the way. During the various interviews, the seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton was in the spotlight as he admitted that he wants to work with Red Bull stalwart, Adrian Newey .

The design legend has very recently parted ways with Red Bull. Moreover, amidst his becoming fully free of all his duties with the Austrian outfit during the early months of 2025, Lewis Hamilton has wholeheartedly talked about his desire to join forces with Newey.

Hamilton has even deemed the 65-year-old as the person who is at the top of his list of people he wants to work with in F1.

If I was to do a list of people that I'd like to work with, he would absolutely be at the top of it. Lewis Hamilton said in an interview with F1

The 39-year-old with his comment has made it quite clear that he really wants to work with his fellow Brit. Newey has played a huge role in the success of multiple teams and thus, Hamilton is aware of what he can bring to Ferrari from next year onwards.

Adrian Newey is seeking ‘new challenges’ after Red Bull exit

While Lewis Hamilton has left no stone unturned in letting it known that he wants to work with Adrian Newey, the latter himself is looking for new opportunities. In his farewell message for Red Bull, he talked about his desire to seek new challenges within F1.

As indicated earlier, Newey will be completely free of his Red Bull duties during the early months of next year.

For almost two decades it has been my great honour to have played a key role in Red Bull Racing's progress from upstart newcomer to multiple title-winning team. However, I feel now is an opportune moment to hand that baton over to others and to seek new challenges for myself. Adrian Newey said in a official statement

Adrian Newey is one of the most respected names in F1 and keeping in view his accolades-filled track record, it will be like hitting a jackpot if Ferrari somehow manages to secure him for next year. The Maranello-based team’s boss, Fred Vasseur has a huge job on his hands for the upcoming months.
