Eli Manning has hilarious explanation for not attending 'The Roast of Tom Brady'

On his X account, Manning wrote, "I did not want to roast [the former New England Patriots QB] for a third time." He was probably referring to how he beat Brady in Super Bowl XLII and XLVI.

In Super Bowl XLII, Manning and the Giants prevented the Patriots from joining the 1972 Miami Dolphins as the only teams to complete a perfect season in the Super Bowl era.

During a recent episode of his "Let's Go!" podcast, Brady admitted he's "still mad" about the Super Bowl losses to the Giants. Clearly, the future Pro Football Hall of Famer would like to forget about them. Eli's older brother, Peyton, didn't let him do that.

"My golf handicap is a 6.4," the former Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts QB said in the special, which aired on Netflix on Sunday. "Tom Brady's handicap is blowing leads to my brother, Eli, in the Super Bowl."

Brady seemed to take the joke well, but he did remind Peyton that he had an 11-6 record against him in the regular season and playoffs.

"I know sometimes you live in Denver, and sometimes you live in Louisana," Brady said in his rebuttal. "But you will always live in my shadow."

Brady is arguably the greatest QB of all time, and the younger Manning's career pales in comparison. However, Manning's Super Bowl victories rank among the greatest upsets in NFL history, and he'll probably never let Brady live it down.
