Titans massive offseason ramps up pressure on Will Levis

Levis has the tools necessary to prove that he can be the Titans future at the position, not just their present. The book is still out on the second-year passer, whose rookie year was marred by a largely inept supporting cast. Levis has plenty of room for improvement himself.

"For Will (Levis), it's about creating that consistency," said Carthon at the NFL Scouting Combine last month. "When he was at Kentucky, he had multiple offensive coordinators. I think he may have had the same offense maybe twice in his career. We want to be able to create that consistency for him, get him used to making calls and get him to where he's making all the calls and checks up front."

Signing receiver Calvin Ridley, center Lloyd Cushenberry and running back Tony Pollard over the course of the last month immediately upgrades coach Brian Callahan’s new offense. 

Defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson’s group is still very much a work in progress. Trading with the Kansas City Chiefs for star cornerback L’Jarius Sneed last week, however, goes a long way towards that effort. Plenty of talent that Tennessee still desperately needs will added next month in the 2024 NFL Draft. 

The league announced the voluntary offseason workout program schedule for all 32 clubs on March 29.

Because the Titans have a new coach in Callahan for the upcoming season after replacing Mike Vrabel, they are entitled to conduct an additional voluntary veteran minicamp. Tennessee is scheduled to have their first day on April 8, and Levis will get his first real opportunity to get to work with his new teammates and coaching staff. The Titans are one of eight teams will hold additional voluntary veteran minicamps this year.

It is the first critical step for both Callahan and Levis in their mission to maximize each other.
