Titans rookie QB Will Levis carted off vs. Texans
Denny Simmons / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK

Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis was carted off the field early in the second quarter against the host Houston Texans on Sunday after suffering a right foot injury on a sack that resulted in a fumble return for a touchdown.

Texans defensive end Jerry Hughes sacked Levis and forced a fumble that was recovered by Sheldon Rankins and returned 13 yards for a touchdown with 10:02 left in the first half. The score extended the Texans' lead to 17-0.

Levis had his right foot briefly examined on the sideline before being carted to the visiting locker room. Ryan Tannehill was under center on the Titans' ensuing offensive series.

Levis did not play last Sunday in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He suffered an ankle injury late in a 19-16 overtime loss to the Texans in Week 15.
