All the buzz around the Minnesota Vikings has been about the QB position, but they are getting a closer look at one of the best defensive prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft class.

Murphy is expected to be the top DT taken in the upcoming draft. The Vikings have two first-round picks, so he could make a lot of sense if they find a way to use both instead of trading up for a QB like many expect them to.
He is coming off his best collegiate season, where he set career highs in total tackles (29), tackles for loss (8.5) and sacks (5). Murphy is a legit difference maker on the interior who is disruptive in both the passing and running game.
Murphy would help fill a hole on the Viking's defense, and them choosing to get a closer look at him here makes sense. Ultimately, it all comes down to what the Vikings choose to do at QB and whether they choose to use their second-first in a potential trade-up.
