Vikings RG Ed Ingram added to injury report ahead of Raiders game
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Vikings right guard Ed Ingram was added to the team's injury report on Thursday, listed as limited with a hip injury. It'll be worth watching his status on Friday to see if he goes into the weekend with a questionable designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Ingram has been extremely durable since the Vikings drafted him in the second round out of LSU last year. He was the only offensive player to play every single snap in 2022, racking up 1,225 of them across 18 games (17 regular season, one postseason). This year, Ingram and Brian O'Neill have played all 801 offensive snaps.

Importantly, Ingram has played at a league-average level this season after really struggling in pass protection as a rookie. He's still inconsistent, but his PFF pass blocking grade is up to 59.9 this year from 42.6 last season. Before surrendering four pressures against the Bears, Ingram had allowed three in the three previous games combined. He hasn't been charged with giving up a sack since Week 5.

A limited session on Thursday doesn't mean Ingram won't play on Sunday. But if his hip issue persists and he's unavailable, Blake Brandel would presumably step in at right guard in Vegas.

Also on Thursday, Vikings special teamers Kene Nwangwu and NaJee Thompson were upgraded from limited to full participation. Safety Theo Jackson was back at practice after missing Wednesday's session with an illness.

The Raiders were without OLB Maxx Crosby (knee) and LT Kolton Miller (shoulder) on Wednesday, so their statuses will be worth monitoring.
